Because there are 3.1 jailbreak threads plastered all over multiple iPhone forums. A simple search on any one of them would yield a host of threads on the subject.

My response wasn't really meant to be personal, Apple718. My point was that forums tend to get cluttered with many threads on the same subject when one or two would do.

For instance, can you imagine how many threads have been started on the subject, "My right speaker isn't working?" :dft010:smiling

I'm not having a go or anything, it's just confusing more than anything, these peeps take the time and effort to sign up to a forum, when they could have easily searched Google. Do you not agree?

Agreed. Any members stats (even though un-mentioned) shouldn't come into this. I know for a fact there are members on here with 100 posts that could easily wipe the floor with iPhone knowledge. I just don't like the lack of initiative to look for something thats easily found through a wonderful search button. For those don't that don't know, please scroll to the top of this window.

Yeah, but Dave's right. Sometimes we do jump on new people a little quickly. Sometimes it's in how we reply that can make the difference in the poster's subsequent attitude in the forum.

As it is so close to the 25th and Apple/AT&T are going to put out some sort of update to allow MMS, I would guess that the Dev-Team will wait until that update is released to ensure that it will not mess up the jailbreak. Many people will be applying the update in order to get MMS....

In my "almost-100-post-noob" opinion, your comment was miss-directed - in regards to drawing first blood, I'd give KabaModern credit for that.

We need to give each other some slack. We all have posted questions
or comments that could easily be shredded (I assume some multi-k'ers will kick in on this one), but it takes class to exercise restraint.
