help: the icons on my bottom dock are too close together.

I googled this stuff for hours & couldn't find anything.

so here is the deal - i have a unlocked and jailbroken 2g 16gb

i updated to 3.1 (the pwned one) cause the dude who didn't sell me the phone didnt put cydia on it (jackass.) Tried using appsync 3.1 - this bricked my phone.

after reading all types of how's to's i found out how to get back to 3.0.

my phone is now running good on 3.0, but the bottom icon dock is off center and its annoying as hell.

is there any way to fix this without restoring and re-jailbreaking my phone?

i just did it like 6 times and want to avoid doing this crap again.

HERE (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/iphone-modifications/5-icon-dock-problems-after-3-0-a-49390-3.html) is the only thread I found on the subject...might want to check it out. Apparently the problem was using the wrong jailbreak for the operating system and does involve a restore and re-jailbreak. Maybe some other members will chime in before you have to go that far. You say you are on 3.0...what jailbreak did you use?

i read somewhere that re-installing summerboard could fix, but it seems like its not worth the trouble

Summerboard was retired over a year ago. Winterboard replaced it.

Uninstall 5-icon dock. If you don't have it installed, install it and then uninstall it. It's in Cydia.
