New Mac/Itunes 9 issue

Hey I went from a PC to a Mac today and I'm trying to setup my library in itunes. I keep 400 movies on a portable hard drive and on the PC all I did was click File, add Files, and within a few minutes all the videos were added to itunes. They weren't copied to my PC hard drive. Well I tried to do the same thing on my Mac and it is coping them to the Mac hard drive so what am I doing wrong?

Sorry I should have looked closer. All I had to do was click on itunes in the upper left corner of itunes, then click on preferences, then uncheck the box that says 'copy files to itunes when adding to the library' Thanks anyway.:dft003:coolkid

Thanks. I'm sure you're right but it's only been a couple of hours and it'll probably take a day or two.
