View Full Version : Cancelled MobileMe Subscription, iPhone still tries to login?

Bought the iPhone 3G-S, signed up for MobileMe trial. Cancelled MobileMe trial via the internet, and the MobilMe is not listed anymore under my Mail/Contacts/Calendar settings. However when I go to the internet or to check my mail on my phone, every time it pops up with a message "MobileMe cannot login, password is incorrect". How the heck do I stop getting this message to pop up???

Has the phone been re-started, not just a screen turn off, since you disabled the MobileMe account? There might be something still in memory. Just guessin'.

I would doublly make sure your MobileMe account is not on the phone. Also, you will want to turn off the account sync in iTunes...could be that when you are syncing the phone via iTunes, it's re-adding the account, if enabled on the "Info" tab.

I just canceled my trial account, 30 days in, since I didn't see the value vs. the cost. I mainly wanted calendar & contact syncing but observed that it was no better, for me, than what I already had setup with GMail.

...the cost part really, to me, covers 'Find My iPhone'. That in itself is priceless :)
