I bought an ifrogz on the day I got my 3GS just to keep it safe for a week(then returned it, ugly as hell lol), I then ordered an innocase 2 surface and got that yesterday.. amazing case! But.. it definitely ate 2 of my screen protectors like candy. So, this one is definitely going to be returned. Now, I've been reading some damn good reviews on the speck candyshell and considering it comes WITH a screen protector, I'm assuming it wont consume it like the innocase 2 surface.

Any suggestions and tips would be appreciated, thank you!

Btw, got my first iphone a week and a half ago and I'm loving it!

I've never owned the innocase so I can't give you any advice on them but I do have 3 of the candyshells and love them. They do add some bulk but add great protection. You can lay the phone face down & the case has some lip so the glass of the phone doesn't touch the surface. It is a little difficult to remove but once you do it a few times it gets easier. I have the purple, white/cranberry, & just received the white/grey color. I prefer the white colors because it shows less scratches. The back of the case does tend to scratch easy(not deep scratches) but its better than the phone getting scratched.

Any slider will carry the possibility of interfering with a screen protector, causing bubbles around the edge. Most two-piece and snap-on-type cases avoid this issue because they don't apply as much pressure to the corners.

Dave has a point. The CandyShell is one piece and does not cause any issues with screen protectors in my experience.

Makes sense. I just wish the innocase worked well with a protector. I ordered the candyshell after reading some of the reviews.

Plus.. everyone seems to be pushing "speck candyshell." haha...

Thanks guys. Btw, what case do you use psylichon?

I use an Innocase II and love it.... I would also like to use a screen protector, but alas cannot. I got a knockoff iSkin Solo as well that I really like for the beach or outdoors. Haven't tried it with a protector yet.

Had the Seidio Innocase II since it's release and it's been great! The black matte finish, and on the inside is a nice felt lining that doesn't scratch the back of your phone :ok:ok

I just took the protector off the iphone and I'm still using the seidio innocase 2 and I do love it, even without the protector.

I just asked all my friends with iphones, which is a LOT and they said all their screens were fine, some even still have V1's.. without a screen protector. Most of them just use a case, a bunch without either a case or protector.

I guess I'm gonna try out the candyshell with the screen protector and see how it goes, but I might just keep them both. We'll see... thanks for the input and info guys.

Just keep your phone in a pocket WITHOUT metal objects (keys or change specifically). I have some minute scratches on my 3GS because of ONE evening I kept a key in my left pocket. It is not impervious.

Yea, sounds good. Thanks for the tip psylichon!

Haha, my blackberry storm and tour both got nicked by my car keys. I will make sure that doesn't happen to my 3GS lol.

Screen protectors work fine with the innocase. I've had powersupport anti-glare, crystal film & invisible shield screen protectors with no issues whatsoever. Just put them on right.

Screen or plastic scratches?

do you have the innocase 2 surface? Its different than just the innocase. They differ in how snugly they fit on the phone. Thus, squeezing the upper right and left corner causing bubbles.

My friend also has the innocase 2 surface and we both can't get them to work with a screen protector.

I currently have the Innocase 2 slider for the 3G S along with the anti glare screen protector and can honestly say it's the BEST combo for me. I remember that, on my blackberrys, the pressure from the Innocase round the edges did cause bubbles I couldn't get rid of without switching cases - But not with this one - The holster option is great to further screen protection as well.

The regular innocase for the original iPhone will not work well with screen protectors. The Innocase II for the 3G/3Gs works perfect with all screen protectors I listed.
