Hello,
I was reading a post earlier(I cant seem to find it now) about how much has been your first month bill from AT&T. Almost everybody mentioned that they were expecting it to be over $100. Is that really the case? The cheapest plan is $59.99. I suppose even after taxes e.t.c it should not go beyond $70. Any experiences?

It will be beyond $100 because #1 they charge the $36 activation and #2 they charged you a month in advance bill to ensure you will pay and be a customer I believe... Im still waiting for my bill to see it

ok. what i really dont understand is that i signed up for the cheapest plan right? of the total of 59.99 a month, i know there are taxes and activation fee, but when i look at my bill, it said monthly plan was 69.99 instead of 59.99 and they also charged me something like 7 bucks of unknown fees and all that crap.
total is like 113.63
its okay because its the first month, but why did it say my monthly payment was 69.99 instead of 59.99

ps49556n (http://www.everythingiphone.com/forum/../members/ps49556n.html) - 900 min plan is $79.99. Why do you think its going to cost you $112? Do you think $32 will be extra fees, taxes e.t.c?

Probably because they signed you up for a $70 plan instead of what you wanted. Or added more text or something. Any plan costs about $5/month more than the price listed because of taxes.

For those who don't know how much their bill is going to be....go into your phone settings then "att services" then "check bill balance". It will send you a text of your balance.

The first bill will have prorated charges and activation fees if they apply. After the first bill you should see what your actual monthly charge will be.

i know what you mean, but really on my att account online and on phone, it said i only got 450 mins and 5000 weekend and night, thats the deal for 59.99, no aditional text message, just plain regular...
i have to call them to see what are the "hidden fees" are about:tounge:

My 1st bill is $144.11. I thought that seemed a bit much till I saw the breakdown.
900 MIN plan 59.99.
prorate 5 days 10.00. (my billing cycle is 4th of month) got my phone 6-29.
month in advance 59.99.
data plan 20.00
prorate 5 days 3.33.
activation fee 36.00.
misc taxes and fees.
Right on the money. As I said I thought whoa! when I saw it until I got the breakdown bill. Ahhh most good things in life today are more expensive than we like!
PS Only thing I DON"T like is the damn federal & local gov taxes and fees. Most seem like a rip-off.
