It may be a coincidence but I doubt it. After upgrading to to 3.1 for my V1, I noticed that I had to push the home button more than once unless I pushed it forcefully.
Anyone have this issue? If not does this mean that the button will need repair (2 years old in October). Still under Apple Care. Will they repair or replace if I bring it in?
Thanks

I have just fixed my home button it felt like there was somthing stuck down the side of it and it sounded like a creaking noise when I pressed it and it was annoying me but I held the home button down and blew on it and it is fixed there must of been some dirt trapped down the side but its fixed now doesn't make that noise.
Try doing that hold it down and blow hard on it if that doesn't work and it still sticks take it to Apple and see what they say about it.
If they think that it is broke they may either repair it in store and replace the home button. I am not sure if Apple still stock refurbished V1 iPhones in store or not so they may either send it away to be repaired but I have heard about people getting a 3G one as a replacement before but I don't know how true this is.
