iTunes 9 home share

Anyone get this to work. I have 9 installed on 3 systems and none of them can see each other. I have tuned it on and checked the preferences, but no luck!

On the computer with the library you want to access from another computer:

Sharing

Share My Library On My Local Network

Ok

Then the other computers on your network with Itunes 9 will be able to see the its music.

Thanks for the reply, but I have done that already. Just in the last hour, I was able to 'see' another library, but not connect to it from either system. I am still unable to see or connect to a third library.

Sometimes the Home Share disappears from the remote computer, especially after making changes to sharing preferences on the machine hosting the music. When this happens, on the host computer go to Advanced/Turn off Home Sharing then turn it back on. It will have you sign in again, but then its library should now appear on the remote computers once again.

It's a pretty cool feature, but I found that it's not 100% accurate with identifying media that is not on the other computer.

It's working fine in 2 of my PCs, didn't try on a Mac but perfect with Windows XP/Vista.

your firewall may be blocking the access.

I have narrowed it down to the sole windows computer. I think its not playing nice....

My wife and I have our own separate accounts and iPhones, with Home Share can we share each others apps as well as music and video?
