I tethered then downloaded a 159MB file that I needed to use my current printer with my new laptop. I had the software for XP and the new laptop is VISTA. It took close to 5 hours (only EDGE here :dft006:unhappy). Anyway when I looked up my usage online just to see what would show up I noticed something strange to me. It shows all data when I use the internet as SENT and nothing ever RECEIVED. In the end it showed 197940KB SENT.

I'm at work so for the rest of this billing cycle I don't see myself using any data except texts because I have WIFI at work and apartment and I use my laptop there. Up to now I just saw this online for my usage:

Used 2421.15MB of Unlimited

Is this enough to make them take notice that I'm tethered? Is this normal usage? About 98% of my other uses is around 47KB to 55KB and the other 2% has never been over 500KB up to now.

You should be OK. Your account may be flagged if you go over 5 GB, but you're only halfway to that cap, so you should be fine. It's possible that they also look at trends, so if you normally only use a couple hundred MB and this month you used 10x that, it could be looked into, but I wouldn't worry about it as I think it's very unlikely. I'd just take it easy on the tethering for the remainder of this billing cycle like you're planning.
