If you could have one special feature on the next iPhone, what would it be?
Regardless of if it's possible or not. :)

I would like my iphone to turn into a flying car, preferably indestructible and capable of lightspeed. So I guess more of a spaceship. But I want it to look like a car to fool aliens and such.

An invisibility app, when you launch the app, it makes the owner invisible.

Just think of the fun things you could do with that. It would obviously be available through Cydia, as apple wouldn't allow it because it probably breaks about 1.4million pathetic rules and regulations, maybe more.

Here's a few possibles. Well, maybe not the last one...yet at least

1. Video Chat
2. Holographic messaging
3. Waterproof
4. Voice recognition
5. Eye scanning to unlock passwords
6. Super sensitive directional microphone and voice extraction
7. Capable of interacting as well as interpreting and expressing emotion and reasoning.

well, knowing apple, if there going to add 10 new features, there going to add 1 at a time, so people go crazy with the next iphone, and get like 2 million suckers to buy the iphone before there eligable for upgrade, and after that, then there release the other iphone with another feature, and the process repeats,

Then buy another brand of cell phone and stop your pointless bellyaching about the iPhone. If you ever get near a point, send up a flare.

Mr R, the reason you are being called a troll is because you behave like one. Pretty much every post you make on this iphone forum either calls the updates not good enough, or calls the people that have updated suckers. Chill out, we all get it. YOUR NOT HAPPY WITH THE PHONE! either buy something else or shut up crying about it.

Lol, I don't think he meant texting in general. That was a reply to someone wanting speech to text. Texting is going full circle.

it was a humorous observation. i have nothing against texting.

think about it. If you want to talk into the phone, then why not just use the phone?

I'd love to see a message, missed call etc indicator (blinking led light). That would save some battery power by not having to come out of sleep mode to check :)

or just get your phone jailbraked, theres an app in Cydia(which i had, and forgot the name:dft006:unhappy), that vibrates twice, when you have a message that has not been read, and does the same thing for calls,

I would like to see an AMOLED screen. Would save a fair deal of battery juice with a display like that, and NO backlight needed, so the phone could get thinner.

AS earlier stated, WATER PROOF.

And the ability to run up to 3 apps at the same time. ( beyond that, it gets a little ridiculous.)

How about a time machine? So I can go back into time with my iphone to the days when the Razr was the hottest thing out and show them what the future has in store. I'm sure there are more productive things I could do with my time machine iphone but I would start there. =)

How about about a battery life that will last more than 15 hours with moderate usage? Seriously, I'm getting maybe 4 hours total, and I don't use it that much.

Until a new type of battery is invented/used, we won't see a high battery life from any large touchscreen phone. The G1 and a lot of other HTCs have worse battery life so I think we should actually feel lucky...I don't think the Storm has great battery life either.

Maybe a small solar cell embedded in the black on the face of the phone? :)

But seriously...can anyone name a large touchscreen phone with AWESOME battery life??

That sounds like a great idea. If they can cram it inside a wristwatch then it wouldn't hurt to put it in the iphone to power some low level processes. There is no reason why there has to be only one power source. A combination of cheap, proven technologies can be bring you close to the power levels of what a breathrough in battery power could bring. It would be a nice intermediate step to limitless power :dft009:happy

The ability, like then new Nikon point-n-shoot camera, to project your pictures on a wall. Pretty good looking on the wall too!

edit: Oh, and this on the back to be green and all.

I have the perfect feature:
The Ability to Record A Call.
I have looking into many apps that all fail to do that. I realize that it could be concidered against a persons rights to do that, but lets look at the following things.
1. People should be careful about what they say to each other in the first place.
2. If I wanted to recored someone on the phone, using a digital recorder or tape recorder would be easy enough, but I figure with the hi tech device that the IPHONE is, it should be trivial.
3. Recordings in lets say COURT, are only admissable if a person was notified they were being recorded in the first place. For Example Collections Calls.
4. I find that to document what people say during a long conversation, and the ability to review it for Business OR to be able to record a Conference call, which the IPHONE is so AWSOME at handling, should be a part of the phone. It is that simple.
