Just picked up my new 16G Black 3GS yesterday. I was a bit skeptical at first having come from Blackberry. So far I'm impressed. The texting is going to take some getting used to, having a touchscreen and all. It seems to work better with fingertips as opposed to thumbs. But all in all I'm happy with it. The functionality is great. It's much more useful than my BB was so I'm very happy with that. Also I don't have to carry my phone and my ipod into the office anymore. I can just plug in my iphone and I'm good to go. Looking forward to getting some great info from some very smart people on here. :ok:ok

Thanks. I just spend the last 30min reading the entire easter eggs thread. I've been trolling since yesterday before I bought the phone.

Welcome to EiC, speedsoul.

I use the virtual keyboard with a fingertip as well, though I've seen people that were pretty good on it with two thumbs.

Welcome. You might find a few (very few) things the iphone can't do that the blackberry can, but overall the iphone is much better. I never owned a blackberry before, I'm just going off what all these previous BB users post.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've had the phone for a couple of days now and I am really growing to like it even more. The games are addictive. Especially imob! Probably the thing I miss most about the bb is the way that you could completely customize alerts, notifications, and ringtones. The only other gripes I have is how on the home screen, it shows how many messages I have in my inboxes instead of just how many new or unread messages I have. But that may be because I have some things in there I haven't marked as read. The speakerphone is pretty horrible too, but no matter, it connects to the bluetooth in my car so it's not that big of a deal.

Overall I'm very happy with the phone and wouldn't trade it. I ordered an Otterbox Defender case and that should be here in a couple of days.
