activation of iphone

Hi friends i have an
AT & T sim card when i connect it to the PC it asks me for activation in itunes.

Is there any procedure where i can skip this activation on a mac pc.

I m really awaiting to see my code get installed on the iphone...

If you don't activate it, you can't use it. I'm not sure what code you are referring to or why you wouldn't want to activate it.
