This is kind of weird and I'm not sure if it can be done but. Is there a way to call someone else iPhone from an iPhone and show a different phone number.

Like if I wanted to call a friend and have it come up on there phone under someone elses phone number.

You can do it, yes.

In order to do it, you need to jailbreak your iPhone. Once you do, there are a few different "spoof" applications, as they call them, through Cydia that you can install. For example, SpoofApp....

A friend of the wifes is having some chic call her and it's coming up under her boyfriends number.

I thought it could be done but I figured it would have to be some kind of hack to do it.

You just say her to do jailbreak. Then use an app for this purpose. Search in Cydia and choose from a variety. Hope in this way she can fix her problem. Let us know if it is done.

Yes, there are many phone number spoof apps in Cydia. Not only do they let you change the number you are calling from to whatever you want it to be, it will show up on the receivers caller ID box as the name of the person/company tied to that phone number you are spoofing. Additionally, it will disguise your voice if you choose that option.

Now, if the receiver questioned the origin of the calls, I bet they could find out what number it really came from by contacting the phone company. If there is any malicious intent, electronic harassment charges could be filed.

You can.. just jailbreak it and there are quite a few. i.e spoof app - I think.
