Network connection

Is there a way or device to take the ethernet plugin network connection in my room to emit a strong-fast wireless signal (WiFi or other?). A routher or something.....

What platform are you using, Mac or Windows?

As you can create your own Wireless network through that, as long as they have Wifi built in.
