using yahoo to import contacts

how do you use yahoo to import your contacts? do you have to go through outlook, or can you just do it directly from yahoo to the phone? im just trying to figure out which will be the easiest way for me to get all my #'s into the phone, and I am having trouble setting up outlook. my main email is a hotmail account, but we all know the story with hotmail and outlook, but i also have a yahoo account which i could use to do this. if you do have to link your yahoo account to outlook, could someone please explain to me how to do this. thanks

Syncing contacts through Yahoo is very easy. Its a drop down option in Itunes, once you select it it will prompt you for your Yahoo username and password. Once you enter that you are set and it will update every time you sync. Its the way that I went because I don't use outlook for anything.
