Hi Everybody,
Before I activate my iPhone, I'd be very appreciative if someone would walk me through setting up my Gmail on the phone. I already have a Gmail account, and just need someone to explain setting it up on the iPhone like I'm a six year old. (I'm not the most computer literate !!) Please explain step by step if it's not too much trouble. Thanks in advance !! Cheers !!

Actually, the iPhone walks you through the Gmail set-up. Provided you know your username and PW, you'll be fine.

First thing you need to do is enable your GMail account for POP access.
Log in to your GMail account
Click on Setting (upper right corner of screen)
Click on Fowarding and POP link
Enable POP email. (Choose one of the two choices)
Click Save
After the iPhone has been activated, turned on, and you are looking at the home screen with all the colorful icons.
Touch the Settings icon (lower right)
Touch the Mail tab at bottom of screen (no scrolling)
Touch Add Account
Touch GMail
Type in your name (this is how it will appear to those you email)
Type in your address
Type in your password
Touch Save
Push the Home button at bottom of iPhone
Touch the Mail icon at bottom left of screen
Touch your GMail account
Touch your Inbox
You should receive e-mail now
