Clinton Cards are doing 2 x £15 iTunes vouchers for £20
You do the math! but that makes TomTom £40
Thanks for the heads up.
Just bought 4 of them and am downloading TomTom now.
At £40 it's reasonable.
I was reading the reviews of the long awaited Tom Tom app in the app store. Apparently, for the price and hoopla, it falls very very short. averages 1 good review for every 4-5 negative ones. Average rating was 2.5 - Pretty low in my book for an app that created such a commotion.
It gets 4 * in the UK store.
That said, I think it does leave a lot to be desired but I'm sure TomTom will bring it up to spec. From what I read it was rushed out because of Co-Pilot etc. being released.
The TomTom devices are certainly good and much better than OEM ones in cars I've owned.
As the market leader I'll be really surprised if it doesn't improve over time.
Even so, it's poor that they release something below par.
I'm going on a 300 mile trip tomorrow so I'll be trying it out.

I dont buy that at all, they have had months and months to develop it, the same as Garmin, and garmins is much more polished. Even Igo is better IMO, and if you compared the R&D costs of both I think you would find Tomtom have pumped a lot more into the project than Igo.
It will be updated, I have no doubt about that, but if Garmin is cheaper, and better at the moment, a below par / more expensive Tomtom app wont do as well as they hoped.
I bought my wife a TomTom a couple years ago, and when I rent a car in a new city, I always get the iGo GPS unit. So far, the iGo has always been easier to use and more accurate.
I didn't know that they made an iPhone app. I may have to check this out! Plus, I wonder if it would work with the tomtom hardware mount....

Hawk, its awesome - 3d landmarks and everything. Really cool

p.s the tomtom mount apparently will work as a standalone unit allowing it to be used with 3rd party (non tomtom apps) which will allow navigation on ipod touches and improve the 3GS receiver for all navigation apps.

The new price for Tom Tom is reasonable. The features of it are really so impressive. But they take long time for updating. Now reading the reviews about it in app store.
