View Full Version : Sync & Backup Problems

Recently my iPhone is now taking up to a half hour to sync and backup. Sometimes it actually freezes during the backup portion. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It seems to be a new problem after 3.0 was installed. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks for your help!

Certain Apps can cause that problem. I have to delete App Snipper then backup then re-install.

Any way to know which app is potentially causing the issue? I have over 30 apps so it would take me awhile to delete each one and try to backup?

When I start App Snipper it downloads the latest database. This is what backup is trying to backup. So try apps that get some information when you start the program. Probally is a recent app you just added.

I have the same issue sometimes. When I try and sync it does take a while. Restarting the PC helps most of the time and backup takes like a few seconds to a minute afterwards. I do get sync errors from time to time that cause me to restore for some strange reason.

Try restarting your phone and your Mac/PC and see if that helps

You can also delete your backup file and allow iTunes to create a new backup. Sometimes the backup becomes corrupt for whatever reason.

When you delete your backup and allow iTunes to create a new one, be warned the first backup will naturally take longer. However, you should be back to normal, quick and corrupt-free backups after that.

This would be my suggestion as well.

iTunes-preferences-devices. You will see the backup and option to delete.
