hi,

i just replaced my touch-screen & glass today, because it was broken. now i fixed everything together. then i started my iphone. the display shows now everything with negative colors (so everything black is now white, and vice versa).
http://www.meridia.ch/stuff/negative.lcd.jpg

any ideas what the problem could be?

thx for your support

you connected the display cable upside down.

looks like it, but the numbers are written backwards because of the cam. did u mean that?

it's almost impossible to place the lcd-cable upside down on the jack (there is no space place for it)

Looks like the LCD is installed upside down. Or you're looking at it in a mirror.

Wait, why does the bottom left corner of the screen (in the picture) look like it has damage to it, if you replaced it with a new screen and glass?

Take it out of black on white mode and stop playing games. It's not April fools day.

Black and white mode wouldn't show the colors being displayed.
And no, it's August now.

To the OP - I have seen this when the cable for a PC monitor is not seated into the card properly. Unfortunately, it means you might have to take it apart again and make sure that the cable is reseated and then test again.

Try it. It has colors.

That didn't come to my mind since he posted in the iPhone 3G forum, and I believe "White on Black" color inversion is only available on the 3G S. But this seems like a good possibility...

Try Settings>General>Accessibility>White on Black

Yeah it would definitely appear as if White on Black was enabled. The LCD is also cracked now too, as I'm sure you're well aware.

i've seen that with the monitors at work too. so i already checked the connection to the "motherboard".

doesnt work either.
