As you may know, we have recently received requests to allow previously-banned members to return to our forums. The purpose of this thread is to communicate that we are not reinstating any members who have previously been permanently banned at this time, nor do we envision changing this approach in the future.
Please know that any member who is banned permanently has been treated as such due to repeated violations of the forum rules (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/how-to-guides-forums/everything-icafe-forum-policy-6737.html)*. In most cases, depending on the severity of the violation(s), we offer many chances for a member to work on abiding by the rules. In some instances, a member may receive multiple "temporary bans" to take some time off away from the forums to "cool down" along with communication via PM or email to further discuss the situation.
A permanent ban is a last-resort option when a member has failed, usually after having been allowed numerous opportunities to change their behavior, to abide by the forum rules.
If you have any questions about your own status in relation to our forum rules (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/how-to-guides-forums/everything-icafe-forum-policy-6737.html), please contact a Moderator or the Site Admin directly via PM. Note that we will not discuss the status of another member with you publicly or via PM as we consider this private information that should not be shared with others.
*A clear exception to this approach applies to spammers who post commercial advertisements or others who blatantly disregard the forum rules in their first very posts.
