I saw a review in the app store saying that the remote doesn't have a power on button.....does anyone know if thats true? I can't imagine that you have to leave your cable box on all the time in order to use the app...

Haha... I ran into that problem earlier this week. I was pretty ticked about it. It took me half a day to figure it out. When you goto remote you can finger flick the options to the right revealing more remote options (such as ON/OFF).

i'm still hesitant to buy it because i just know that as soon as i do, they will put it on sale for 19.99 (i think 19.99 is still too high)!

And i'm also worried about the unrestrictor not working after apple updates to 3.1

The app had to be updated to run on 3.0, so I'd be willing go bet that it will be updated to 3.1 as well. Being a paid app, I would think that would put an onus on the developer to try to keep the app current.

Me too was suffering from remote problem. I became dependent on my cable box to use it. Thanks PapaST (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/members/papast.html) for giving the solution.
