It works for a little bit but then iTunes closes and it says "waiting for reboot" for like an hour.

what do u exactly have a problem with? u made a customed ispw? but your phone doesnt respond?

Pretty much and iTunes closes in the middle of the red sn0w every time.

unplug it from the white cord and plug it back it will work.

what version are u on and try restarting your computer and restart your iphone and try if that works.

i have the old version of itunes and whenever redsn0w uploads the second stage my itunes closes and redsn0w continues to say "waiting for reboot"

yes, i followed all the instructions on that tutorial and I make it to step 11
