Before I do this to my phone for the first time I am wondering:

-Once jailbroken, If I were to chose to update the OS through itunes when apple puts one out, it will restore the phone back to factory OS? All I need to do is re-jailbreak and my phone will be back to the way it was when I jail broke it in terms of apps etc? Is this where that pkgbackup program comes in? What is the process to make sure I can update the new Apple update plus get my phone back to the way it was after i jailbroke it?

-Will my push updates through mobileme continue to work? I quite like the feature that updates my mobileme and my home computer when i update my calendar and my contacts on my phone.

Thanks!

I know that once you update, and then rejailbreak, you will not have your apps anymore. As for a way to get it to that, I'm sure there is one, just not sure of how to go about doing it.

I was jailbroken with mobile me and everything still worked. No worries with that problem. :dft009:happy

Use PkgBackup to back up your jailbreak apps. PkgBackup will store this information as a text file in Contacts. Sync your iPhone. When you restore your iPhone, sync again. Then, when you jailbreak again, download PkgBackup again and restore your jailbreak apps. PkgBackup will use the text file stored in Contacts to restore your jailbreak apps. This method works very well for me and saves a lot of time.
