even though I set the toggle in SBS 3.0.4 to ON, it's not there - any ideas?

Did you install Open SSH?

Yes...in order to SSH into the phone, you have to install Open SSH from cydia.

Is your username Terrapin as in Station? :dft012:wink

works fine now - and yes, like Station...After seeing shows from about 1987-1995, I figured the least I could do was pick a username that pays homage to the boys huh???
