So I just bought SwirlyMMS2 off of Cydia, and I go to fire it up. I got a couple picture messages already there that I want to look at so I click one of em, and since it was my first time using it it says: Waiting for the MMS APN to become active. This can take up to 60 seconds. So I just let it sit there and do it's thing, and then out of nowhere it says: Fetch Error: Failed to activate MMS APN.
I just spent 12 bucks on this thing, and it's not even working. Can anyone tell me what's up? I would really appreciate it :dft010:smiling

I'm in the same boat... Mine was working until I got the 3GS. Your error appears different than mine. You may want to try a different set of AT&T settings if you are with them.

Why do people even use these MMS apps if the iPhone has it built in? I know it's not available in the current OS, but once it is released, why bother?

Well I bought it like a year ago... I have not had any issues with it until I bought my newest iPhone. I do remember them making a change to Text Plan with I was there. I'm assuming that's why it's not disabled. But I did buy Swirly during a period when we had no idea if the iPhone was ever going to get MMS. I would also like to add. Swirly has some advantages over the stock MMS capabilities of the phone. So I will probably continue to use it, once AT&T enables MMS.

When is this supposed to be released?

I do like what Swirly has to offer, but my phone isn't jailbroken at the moment due to performance reasons.

MMS will be available late summer.
