View Full Version : "Sending 1 of 1"
Been experimenting with "location Notes" getting ready for an upcoming trip.
Last nite I tried to use the email feature within the note. I use Gmail and it locked up showing "sending 1 of 1". Its still showing after 9 hours and the email was never sent.
I am able to send other emails and I have rebooted the iphone but "sending 1 of 1" still remains.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Kill the app.
Open up the mail app, hold down the sleep/wake button until the slide to power off comes up. Then hold down the home key until it goes back to the spring board.
If that doesn't work, then do a hard reset of the phone, hold down the home and sleep/wake key until the phone turns off. Continue holding it until the phone turns back on.
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried them both and I still have the same "sending 1 of 1" issue.
I also noted that when in my gmail app on my iphone the little fan shape icon at the top is spinning...trying to send the email I guess.
anything else?

Which Gmail app are you using? There's the Google web app that allows you to access all things Google such as gmail, calendar, docs, reader, images, talk, etc. Then you can also access gmail through the native iPhone mail app. Which method are you using?
thanks for the help and suggestions. The problem went away by itself after about 24 hours.

Interesting. I'm glad you got it all sorted out. The reason I questioned by which method you were accessing Gmail is because of the following:
I had a 3G which was originally set up to retrieve Gmail through the iPhone's native mail app. Then Google released the web app which offered all the other google functions so I began using that one.
Well, long story short the 3G was replaced with a new one and I continued to use the Gmail web app. Whenever I attempted to send photos through the camera app on my new phone they never made it to their destination. I eventually realized they were stuck in the outbox of the iPhone's mail app because I hadn't set up the password on the new phone's native mail app. The minute I went into the new iPhone's mail settings and entered my password all of those emails in the outbox were finally delivered.
