So I got an iPhone yesterday and when I got home I jailbroke it immediately. So I start installing themes and crap with Cydia, and then I went to install this app that lets me see/send mms messages. I install that, and I tried to hit the Return To Cydia button, but the button just went blue (like I was hitting it) and then it went to the boot screen. Ever since last night, it's been going back and forth from the boot screen to just a black screen, and occasionally it flashes white and goes back to the boot screen

I tried to do a hard reset on it but nothing is working so far. Any ideas what might be up? I can give more info if anyone needs it. Help would be greatly appreciated.

That's an infinite crash loop. It will need to be put in DFU mode and restored to factory settings. Be careful about what you install in Cydia, some apps are not yet compatible with 3.0 and can potentially cause problems like this.

Is that your real name? ;)

So how do I do that?

And I wish it was my real name :dft011:wicked_smile

Hi guys,

I think I have the same, or very similar, problem, but can't fix it using the example in the video above...

I have a 5 month old 8gb 3G running 3.0 that I jail broke with the new Pwnage a month ago and it was working perfectly until yesterday.

I was in Cydia and all of a sudden the screen turned off. At the time I thought the battery was just dead even though it didn't show me the 20% and 10% battery warnings like it usually does when the battery is running out.

So I came home, put it on the dock at which time the Pwnage Pineapple logo appeared for a few seconds and then disappeared but it didn't beep like it usually does when it starts charging, but I left it charging for the rest of the afternoon anyway just to be safe.

When I came back to it after it should have been fully charged and tried to turn it on the Pineapple Logo appears as usual for 10+ seconds or so and then the screen turns black.

When I try to reset it by holding down the power and home button like above I end up with a cartoon picture of Steve Jobs with a speech bubble of him saying NPEBEA (only the N is an upside down U like a Russian style) and it does nothing.

iTunes and the Mac OS (10.5.7) don't see it at all while it's starting up so I can't reset it.

So with all that in mind does anyone have any ideas? I can't even tell is it's a hardware problem or if the OS is just messed up... or both... so any help or ideas would be appreciated.
