Facebook and push [Archive]

Does anyone know if facebook will get push? I had it with my BB and I miss it on my new iPhone

There is suppose to be an update for facebook app. but not seen it in app store andrunours have it the next version will have it but not in the next updat.

I think that in it's current form, Notifications is a liability. In my experience, I have seen it use as much - if not more- battery than Location services. God forbid if you actually have more than one app pushing notifications. The more notifications, the heavier the battery usage.
I leave it off just because there is only one app I find it's useful with, and I don't use that app that often.

This Facebook update that is coming soon will not include push

That will be included in the update after the 3.0 update

It's good to here that upcoming facebook update will not include push. FB notification is a good reason for making battery empty soon. So I have switched it off.
