hello i have a family plan and i want to upgrade my lg shine to a iphone 3gs and was wondering if i had to also pick a new voice plan or can i just use my old one? i know i have to get a new data plan.

No, you will not have to get a new voice plan UNLESS you're on an old voice plan that they no longer offer, and wish to use the discount you get from "upgrading."
