I have a 3gs that had been working well.
I recently had to reset my router ( linksys 54g) and have been running into connection issues but only to the app store/iTunes from the iPhone.
If I connect without wifi using cell it's fine.
Am I missing a port that needs to be forwarded?
I have 3689 and 80 forwarded at the moment.
Thanks

No port forwarding should be needed at all for App Store connectivity. A good next test might be to see whether you connect OK to the App Store on another WiFi network.

Thanks for the reply.
My wife just got a 8gb also and hers seems to do the same thing... its very random. Sometimes its fine other times it doesnt work. Hoping its not the 3.0 issue. I should have another router to try soon... Ill also try connecting to other wifi sources and see if it happens.
Just a pain as it sometimes works and sometimes does not.

Intermittent issues are always a bear. Post more info when you've had a chance to test at other spots / with another router - and hopefully somebody here can help further.

Just an update.
Updated both phones to 3.1 and no longer have an issue.
Very happy.
