I won a $50 IPhone gift card recently. It cannot be used for Itunes or for apps. Can only be used towards a phone or accessories. What would you get?

I am looking at the extended warranty.

Well, that's a personal choice, obviously. Assess your situation. Are there any cases that you want/need? Any screen protectors? Car charger? If nothing tangible is of use to you, the AppleCare is definitely an option to go for.

Odd. Can you buy a regular gift card, and use that toward apps and whatever?

Since it can only be used for non-iTunes purchases I would say go with a case or with AppleCare. It's your best bet.

A case or Apple Care...no way!

I'd use the card to knock off some of the cost of upgrading to a 3GS and then sell the 3G on eBay for $400+ !
