Best Media Player and File Viewer?

Got a jailbroken 3G running 3.0

Whats the best media player for videos that supports multiple formats?
I saw vlcplayer in cydia, but looking at reviews on the net ppl say its not very good compared to its PC version.

Also, whats the best app for file viewing? For office docs, pdfs etc..? Are there any apps that allow editing also? That would be a bonus.
I've seen a few also while browsing, but not sure which one to go with.

MPlayer is the best that I've found. It's not perfect, but most things play quite well on my 3GS. Though I've noticed that it has audio sync problems with some AVI files. It's certainly better than vlc4iphone.
