What next?

Hello everyone, after waiting for a long time for the itouch 2g jailbreak I just recently found out that it's been available for awhile after a friend told me. I updated to the 3.0 firmware and everything is jailbroken just fine. But when I try and download anything in Cydia or Icy all I get are errors and can't install anything =/

Actually, when I launch Cydia it tells me there is an upgrade available and after completing the installation it fails, throwing "Internal error, could not perform immediate configuration (2) on essential".

I don't really know what to do next as I'm very new to the scene so I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer!

To update Cydia you have to be connected to the internet, im presuming you are?

If thats the case I would re-jailbreak. When you launch Cydia 1s time it should come up with an update and give you 3 options. Update essensial / update all and ignore.

To be safe I would update all, it literally takes 1 min if you have a decent internet connection.

Yep yep, connected to Wifi for attempting to update or download anything. I get the said error after trying to 'update all'

Restore and re-jailbreak. Something must be wrong with Cydia.

Just for future reference, it was a problem with installing Cydia and Icy at the same time. I got Winterboard and a few lockscreens and that type of thing, are there any other essentials I need?
