In your opinion, what would the best screen protector for the 3G[S] be? The Mirror, The Anti-Glare, or The Crystal Film Set??

I don't have any experience with the mirror screen protector, but the power support crystal or anti glares are the ones apple sells and are great quality protectors. I saw someone with the mirror ones on their phone and it seemed to get scratched easily plus the fact that you don't really see the screen that good. It could have been a crappy mirror brand though. I have the anti glares on and love them, but it is all just a preference thing. Do you like the feel of a bare screen - go with the crystal support, don't want a glare and want to be able to move your finger around easier - go with the anti glares. Want to see yourself, especially when the phone is asleep - then the Mirror is for you. I haven't heard one bad thing about the power supports, so those would be your safest choice.

Thanks a lot, what exactly is the crystal though? My friends have the anti-glare, and that's what I'm most likely going to get, but it's always good to have more opinions.
And, Do you have a nice case preference?

I've tried the Invisible Shield (good protection but not the easiest application, and I hated the feel of it on the touchscreen), and both the Power Supply crystal and anti-glare. I've ended up using the anti-glare, but I'd highly recommend either, they're great quality and easy to apply. As iphun said, it's all about choice, try your local Apple store and see if they've any demo models with both protectors on and see what you prefer.

The crystal is pretty much the feel of a naked screen, it's shiny just like the screen. It definitely doesn't hurt to have some opinions.
I used an Incase slider on my 3G and have been using one on my 3GS. It is a great choice and I love it. There is also a comparable one called Seido Innocase II which I have heard good things about from people around here.

I have had the crystal, anti glare and invisi shield on my phones.
I switch between the crystal and anti glare depending on my mood, love the look of the crystal (most natural) but hate the finger prints. With anti glare less smudges but not as natural look in my opinion. Hated the invisi shield- the texture is not smooth and you see the ripples from it on your screen.
My wife just had a mirror one installed, seems to be holding up well but time will tell.
Good luck with your choice

If you want to do some reading on the subject there are tons of reviews on the various types of screen protectors and cases in the iPhone Accessories Forum (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/apple-iphone-accessories/). There are photos of phones with the various cases on them. It's worth checking out and exploring your options as there are a number of opinions out there on what is "best".

A friend of mine was using a mirror/anti-glare type of screen but was having other issues with cases that scratched the screens so in buying a new one, he got a clear screen and loved the truer color rendering. When I purchased my 3GS, I had the Genius install a Power Support Crystal. After a few days' use, I wipe the screen with a micro fiber. As good as new. BTW, these protective screens usually adhere with static versus "glue".
YMMV

ZAGG!!!!
Honestly THE BEST!!!!!!!!
20 bucks at best buy.
Only comes with 1... but it has a lifetime warranty, 100% scratch proof.
I have it and best investment yet.

Zagg is the worst I have ever tried to tell you the truth. I know a lot of people talk good about them, but everything from the installation to the rubbery feel to them is terrible. They are strong, I will give them that, but thats it. I have used Boxwave on previous phones and they were good, but I will most likely try the Power Support that seems very popular with Iphone.

powersupport crystal is awesome. Doesnt make the screen change at all when looking through it and is slick like the glass. Cant really tell its on there works great.

I have owned MANY smart phones & PDAs over the years, and I have found there to be only ONE screen protector that I trust - the BRANDO WORKSHOP protectors. They are washable, removable, and the bloody things are incredible. I had one on my Treo 750 for over 2 years without any wear. You can find their site at http://shop.brando.com.hk
I may be getting an iPhone, IF I can find the car kit I need/want, and if I do, the Brando protector will be the FIRST item I order!!
