Not for MMS. I like the in app reply. Immediately after installing, springboard crases and goes to safemode.

Awesome! So the next question is, does running themes through Winterboard cause any noticeable lag, decreased available memory, or decreased battery life?

I haven't noticed much of a lag, and my available memory has not dropped under 145MB. Let's see what others are experiencing.

Have you checked what processes are running? Maybe close those that you're not using.

It's in SBSettings. You might have to turn it on in "more" under set toggles.

Ok. Sometimes rebooting your phone will free up memory. I've noticed that when i've rebooted. I'll sometimes start out with 170-175MB.

Thanks.
I installed CyDelete, and I'm getting the "x's" on Freeze as well as all Cydia apps, but it says it can't delete the Freeze icon since it wasn't installed by Cydia. Have you guys been able to delete that icon?

Also, Weather icon works and I'm getting status bar temp as well as the weather app icon temp and weather icon overlay, but the status bar weather image isn't working.

Go into settings and open Cydelete and turn on Non Cydia Deletion. that will let you delete it.

i would guess the vWallpaper might be one of the culprits to your battery being drained. I have quite a bit of stuff installed (not as many as yours). My battery is still holding up pretty well. Also, you might want to turn off SSH as well if it's on.

I never had problems with vWallpaper causing battery drain on 2.2 and 2.2.1, but maybe it does on 3.0.

I didn't think vWallpaper was ported to 3.0 yet? Are you using the vWallpaper 3.0 beta? I've been trying to install it on 3.0 (on my 3G...havn't tried it on my 3GS yet) every day and it just crashes upon attempting to open/load.

Im kinda new to SBSettings so thanks to all for pointing it in my direction. My question is about memory though. I have iStat installed and my phone consistently goes below 100 free. However, at the same time SBSettings tells me I have 130 available. Which is accurate? If I can free memory in SBSettings as well as check all this other good stuff, I might just have to remove iStat.

shutter13
07-09-2009, 11:46 AM
sbsettings reports the Free memory + Inactive Memory as your available memory, and rightly so, inactive memory is there to use by any programs that need it. So if you add the free + inactive memory in iStat it should be very close to the same.

Has iStat been updated to work with 3.0 and the 3GS?

I had a problem with it repeatedly crashing any time I try to run "Quake". I think I'd rather have quake than winterboard lol, although I am a JB noob so maybe I just don't know enough to see why I want it :p
