So I bought this unit for my wife when I first got her the 2G iPhone. It worked like a charm. However, I recently upgraded her to the 3Gs and the unit no longer charges the phone. It still plays and functions no issues, but will not charge. When the 3Gs is plugged in, the iPhone screen displays our favorite little exclamation mark saying charging is not supported with this accessory.
It would be a shame for me to have to shelf this item because it wont charge. Pretty much like throwing 150 bucks in the toilet!
Does anyone know if I can install a power inverter or something similar to get this working again? I installed it so I would be ok with removing the dash again to get this sucker working!
