USB port problem [Archive]

My MBA has stopped recognizing my mini SD card when I plug it into my MBA..... when I plug in a Thumb drive it shows up straight away but it wont see the SD card......... any ideas how to reset the USB ports or a way to fix this problem??

Does the miniSD card work with any other computer? If other devices work in your MacBook Air's USB port, it could be that the miniSD card has just died.

Does the miniSD card work with any other computer? If other devices work in your MacBook Air's USB port, it could be that the miniSD card has just died. I do not have access to another computer right now but the SD card works fine in the Blackberry

How are you connecting it to your MacBook Air? Through a card reader or while it's inserted in another device like your Blackberry?
