Bluetooth pariing issue...

I have a pair of Sharper Image Bluetooth speakers. My wife's 2 years old Blackberry works fine with them but my new iPhone 3GS doesn't work! I called Apple and their service rep couldn't solve the problem. They are supposed to call me back in a couple of days, after testing bluetooth speakers with the iPhone (!) I'm pretty upset now because my 1st gen iPhone did not have A2DP so I had to wait for the updated version. I was about to buy the Palm Pre but was convinced by the AT&T rep to take a discount and buy the 3GS...

I had bluetooth pairing issues also. I found an old post on some obscure forum. The poster had issues pairing w/bluetooth and turned his auto lock to "never". This fixed his problem and actually it fixed mine too. May not work for you but you never know til you try.

Well, changing the auto lock to "never" never worked... Doin a reset (as suggested by Aplle tech) did not work either. As a final effort (for them and me!) Apple has asked me to bring my speakers to to a store and they'd look into the problem. I have an appointment tomorrow morning...
