just been looking at new iphone 3gs

hey guys, i been looking at the new iphone as i really wanted one but how can they justicfie a price tag of £450 i have the ipod touch 2g and i cant see a lot of difference between the 2 apart from the iphone being a phone. i think i will stay clear of the iphone. what do you guys think.

There is a world of difference between an iPod Touch and an iPhone 3GS. Data outside of WiFi is very handy, compass, GPS with turn by turn navigation, tons of cool apps that rely on GPS, a camera with auto focus and touch to focus with direct uploads to flickr/Photobucket etc, a video camera with editing and direct uploads to Youtube etc while you are anywhere you have phone service, find my iPhone feature for lost/stolen phone with mobile me, more RAM and a faster processor, voice activated calling and iPod features, a better headset with additional features, oh and a phone. This is just off the top of my head, I'm sure I missed several other things that set them apart.

Have you actually compared the technical specifications of the two, or are you just judging from exterior appearance?
