Networking iphone Question

Ok so i have a 2wire dsl router, question is if the iphone is connected to the network will i see it under network tab on my computer?

No, however you can SSH to it (if it's JB), ping it, and install software like AirSharing that you can browse to it. ExpanDrive sets up a windows mapped drive by using an SSH connection, so it comes in handy.
