iPhone dropped from devices in iTunes??

anyone know why this is happening? Every time I plug my iPhone into my computer, it backs up the phone then ejects it from itunes, dropping it from my devices list. I have it set to manually manage music and videos so it kinda has to be there for me to make any changes or if I just want to sync up my apps.

any words of wisdom on this would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? Regardless if you do or not, try reinstalling iTunes. Don't uninstall it, just reinstall on top of it.
