laser engrave plastic cases? iFrogz?

Has anyone ever gotten a plastic iphone case laser engraved? Just looking at some of the plastic cases, i.e. the iFrogs Luxe case looks like it would be a good candidate for laser engraving. I just thought it would be cool to have something personalized on a case.
Anyone who has the iFrogs Luxe ever scratched the case? Is it black under the color(like the color was painted on) or is the cover made out of colored plastic?
Any advice or insight is appreciated.

The iFrogz Luxe case is not a solid color plastic. I have a couple of very small chips on my blue one.
