3.1 beta upgrade with a aluminum MacBook?? [Archive]

Shutter was saying and only one other person and myself have macs and that the only other person that tried to upgrade to 3.1 beta froze his phone. Anyone else out there with a mac get 3.1 to work?

I have a UMBP.

I forgot to register my new phone's UDID, DL'd 3.1, and tried to install it.

Got the infamous 3004 error code when it was trying to verify.

For some reason I got stuck in recovery mode.

Did a clean wipe and install of iTunes after 5 restore tries, none of which would budge from the 3004 code. Got my phone back to normal.

Registered my new UDID on app dev site, updated to 3.1, and everything works fine.

The only glitch I had was the iPod crashing. Synced with iTunes while music was unchecked, then checked the music box and re-synced again. Phone is now running normally again.
