iPhone wont start! PLEASE HELP MEEEE!

Hey guys!
Im sorry to ask you for help, but its my last option.

This guy told me "i have an iphone 2g, it has crashed totally, the phone is stuck on apple logo" i thought for myself, well just put it in DFU mode and it should be easy to recover.
So he told me, if you can get it to work, i will give it to you for free.
So now i have this iphone 2G, and it is stuck on apple logo, sometimes it goes black, and then back to apple logo.

I tried with DFU mode, but when it is in DFU mode, my PC doesnt recognize the iphone, it just says, that it is an unknown device attached to the usb. And the bubble also say, there might be something wrong with your device.

So i have nooo idea what to do.

PLEASE HELP ME.

This may seem dumb, but did you try putting your phone in in recovery mode and restoring it from iTunes?

yes as i said,
i can access DFU mode and Recovery mode, but the computer recognizes the device as unknown. thats why i cant recover or restore the iphone.

please help!

(when iphone is connected, itunes does not recognize phone at all, because it is an unknown device)
