Share an appointment in calendar

I just made an appointment in my calendar for the house cleaner and wanted to share it with my wife. Is there a way to have the iphone just email her the appointment like you can do with a contact?

I don't think so PDA, not with the native calendar app on the device.

If I create an apt in outlook to synch to my phone, I can send dh an invitation to the apt. When he accepts the invite, it puts it in his outlook cal. We both synch our phones with outlook so we then both have it on our phone cals!

Thanks. That's a good work around, but my wife just uses windows mail. She is new to the iPhone and I was trying to share appointments with reminders that would be shared on her phone.

I had sent her so some contacts and it was so easy that I thought the calendar should/could do the same.
