I am going overseas to Europe soon. I would like to know if game applications such as checkers, etc, are counted as data? If I play a checkers game, is that counted as data, will I get charged for playing a game of stupid checkers? :)

Put your phone in airplane mode and you'll be golden. No data can be sent in airplane mode. Games that don't download/upload anything don't use data.

Just restore your iPhone from iTunes and it will download the correct 3.0 firmware for you. Or if you want, you can use this (http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/) link.

Then go here (http://blog.iphone-dev.org) and click on "Official Torrents" and download the latest redsn0w from there.

I've heard Redsn0w is buggy. Use PWNage Tool instead. Do you have a Mac? When you get to Europe, buy prepaid SIM cards in the countries you visit and you'll save a lot of money compared to calling with your AT&T SIM.
