browsing sites in mobile format sucks

Whenever I browse certain sites on my iphone, they are automatically seen in their mobile counterparts. Is there anyway to trick them in to not using the mobile site? from the phone of course.

I know some sites have a link to the full site, but alot dont.

I like the mobile sites. The media rich full ones take forever to load. JMO.

Certain sites I actually prefer, digg.com's mobile version is great. Something like ebay though sucks really bad, however. I wish more would give you the option to load which version.
