Yeah, an iPhone 3G used by Tom, has a broken screen, and doesn't even turn on isn't worth a $100 USD. That's why it's not yours.

Did I miss some posts somewhere? Why is damage caused by you pissing off your wife and her throwing your phone across the room covered by your warranty? Doesn't really sound like a manufacturing defect to me...

Oh yeah you must have missed the post,
let me explain...
I dont want any confusion, The damage is not covered by the warranty but I simply do not care, I am going to get it replaced for free by lying to apple. My screen was not cracked, it was just stuck on a white screen due to the damage. When i googled iphone white screen i saw that some people get this problem while texting. Therefore I called up apple and told them i was just texting and my screen suddenly turned white. They asked me to bring it to apple to get a replacement, but to avoid being annoyed by "apple genius's" i told them i did not have a car to get there. They told me to just mail it in so i mailed it in yesterday. This is better because when you mail it in they hardly even look at it, it costs less to replace it than it does to fix it. I know this will work because this is how i replaced my fist v1 broken iphone. Lol :D. Speaking of which, my MacBook Pro's warranty is up till August 19th, 2009. My Optical Drive stopped working, it keeps ejecting any CD/DVD I insert, even the Mac OSX DVD ones. So I went on Apple.com, entered my serial #, and made sure it is still under warranty and got an address of a store that is an Apple branch and can fix it for me under warranty. I went there, gave them the notebook, they told me they'll try to fix it if it has like dust inside or something minor that can be changed, but if they are going to need to replace it with a whole new optical drive, then they'll have to ask Apple about the warranty (or something) first and wait for their approval and then wait for the optical drive to get shipped, which will take 10 - 18 days and I'll pay for shipping.

Do you think they are lying and they will just say "Apple disapproved and you need to pay for it"?
