View Full Version : beejive 3.0 gone
Been having some trouble with the new beejive and decided to reload it this morning.
When I tried to download it , a message came up that it was no longer available.
Now I have no beejive....What's going on?

Rut Ro! You're right... looks like they had just a few too many bugs for either Apple's or their liking.

It seems strange that the only two push notification apps I know of that have been approved are AIM and BeeJive. Perhaps Apple was using them as a testbed and either BeeJive or Apple removed it since it was having issues so they could fix them. It looked like most of the issues were server related but I dunno.

I still have my copy of Beejive. I know users were experiencing problems logging in with Yahoo! IM but that seems to be fixed now. No more connect errors.

I don't seem to be having any issues. FB im seems down tonight, other than that Beejive 3.0 seems to be fine for me.

We have a fix for this defect already and plan to submit the fix to Apple this week. For a temporary fix, log out of BeejiveIM and turn your iPhone / iPod Touch off and back on."

FB IM is currently down today, according to Beejive.
"One of the chief causes of the connection / spinning wheel issues people have been experiencing is the extra load facebook is putting on our servers and bandwidth. We're working on a fix, but in the meantime we have temporarily disabled facebook chat. It will be back up as soon as we have a found a solution.
We apologize for this and appreciate your patience!"

Nice to see all this way after the fact. First, yesterday I had the spinning wheel and couldn't log on to any of my accounts. Rebooted every way from upside down to sideways. Finally, I deleted the app. When I tried to redownload it, it looked like it was going to make me pay again, so rather than go that route and chance it saying I already had it at the last minute, I just resynced it from my backup.
Now, everything works fine after setting it up again, cept FB.
