I'm downloading it now for free, since I previously bought it. I'm super excited as I've been waiting for this for quite some time.

I think this app might become #1 over Meebo. From what I've read on Meebo's site they have no planned release date and people are getting upset.

Oh well, Beejive pwns!

Is this really worth the $9.99? IM+ is also available for $5 and there is AIM Pro as well.

I feel beejive is the best chat program from the iPhone.

Anyone else having problems connecting with Yahoo?

Holy crap thank you. I've been waiting so long for this. Now they need to update palringo so I can compare the new version of palringo with beehive and figure out which one I like the best.

To us Push, do I need MobileMe?

To us Push, do I need MobileMe?

Nope. Once you install and open the app it will ask you if you will allow push or not. I just tested it and it works great! :)

Yep, get it now, before you know it it will be back up to 15 bucks. I bought IM+ for 1.99 awhile back on a good sale, still bought beejive. It's better.

To us Push, do I need MobileMe?

No you do not need mobile me to use push notifications.

It's not working for me. Do I have to change something in settings?

shutter13
06-22-2009, 10:11 PM
Once you install beejive, when you open it, it should ask if it can send you push notifications. Tell it yes, and go to settings>Push Notifications>BeeJive and set up what type of notifications you want.

Yes, if you have it setup that way. If you do, it should look like this:

It's sooooo buggy. Have you guys tried to delete all accounts. It won't allow me to empty the accounts list. When I attempt to delete the last one, it crashes & doesn't delete the account. WTF!!!

LMAO, yup I can confirm that. I don't think it's the correct 3.0 version either. On the Apple store it says it's version 2.2.0.24 and is OS 3.0 tested, but when you open up Beejive it says it's version 3.0.

Something isn't right

It should be working, the versions show up weird because it was just released tonight, I am sure it will be updated to reflect the correct version.

Note, I am sure there will be some errors and bugs since this is brand new.

They have a very good team and will get it working perfect soon.

Trust me, I wouldn't send you down a $10 path if it wasn't worth it ;)

I dont understand why AIM created such ugly text boxes.. Why not chat bubbles, thats really all it needs. BLAH its so ugly..

evolution83
06-23-2009, 02:08 AM
Yeah I won't even bother with AIM. I installed but then uninstalled 5 minutes later. I hate the fact they have a free and a paid version - LAME.

I'll stick with Beejive but won't use it until they fix the current issues.

I just bought this app tonight. After debating whether or not to buy it when it came out. It's working great. With the exception of Yahoo not working.

I can use the Yahoo app for now.

I still have the push email option on. I figured it was just a safety net till I'm sure push is really working. Also, it still only stays on for 24 hours. I think it should stay on always when push is fully operational. ???

AIM worked great with push. If I was a more serious IMer I would go with Beejive, but free AIM is good enough for me.

I bought BeeJive a long time ago and have been using it so I upgraded. However like most new services they seem to be having some issues with Push and they app. I was getting really strange NSUrl error's last night with push enabled. I'm hoping they fix all the problems because I really love BeeJive. It's still been a pretty good update.

According to the BeeJive support site they are ironing out some push problem and the fact that Yahoo (and maybe MSN) changed server protocols at the same time their push when live. So BeeJive is trying to fix both problems. They supposedly have a server path in place for Yahoo so it might be working by now.

Now if only I wouldn't get gtalk push notifications when I'm supposedly offline in BeeJive it would be nice.

I'm new to Beejive but can someone tell me how this $9.99 app is different from the free Beejive Web Application? I haven't downloaded it yet, but thinking about it. So far, I only put the Web Application bookmark on my screen. Thank you.

The web app is just like using a web browser similar to using Meebo. The actual app allows you to have the program installed and you can receive push notifications when you receive IMs even when the app is closed. The web doesn't allow that feature. You're better off with the paid app.

I finally bought Beejive and I'm quite impressed. It is so graphically polished, putting all the IM's in a nice manageable screen. I'm glad I finally took the leap and bought this.

Yeah its pretty slick. Its still got a couple bugs here and there but nothing that makes it unusable.

For sure this is the best chat soft for iPhone. It's one of my favorite apps. This one looks amazing too. Now the iPhone developers are thinking something.

The new video function works great but it is slow. Don't send anything too large.
